Keokea Beach Park 1

Enjoy views of Maui from the Pavilion onsite, or take a dip in the ocean. Keokea is known as a surf spot for locals, and a space to gather in community.

The first of the 7 sacred valleys, and associated with the root chakra, Pololu valley lies at the end of the road. Enjoy a 15-20 min hike down to the water, where the river meets the ocean at a black sand, rocky beach. Follow the trail to a lookout point to gaze upon second valley, and perhaps even follow the ropes down.
Kapaa Beach PArk

Another favorite amongst locals, Kapaa Beach park offers wonderful snorkeling and scuba diving. Large lava boulders and kiawe trees dot the coastline. A pavilion and picnic benches are available for use, in addition to ample camping spots.
Mahukona beach park
20 min drive
A favorite local swimming spot - jump off the pier at Mahukona and enjoy the views of Kiawe trees back ashore. Follow the walking trail between Mahukon and Kapa'a Beach park, with ample spots to jump in and enjoy a vivid underwater world.
